Entwined

by Heather Dixon

For this being her only book, it's beyond fabulous!! It's a re-telling of the famous 12 dancing princesses story, with penniless princesses and silver that holds vows. It's beautiful!! It's such a creative story telling, and a wonderful addition to my home library!! And yes, I read it in a day.

"Just when Azalea should feel that everything is before her—beautiful gowns, dashing suitors, balls filled with dancing—it's taken away. All of it. And Azalea is trapped. The Keeper understands. He's trapped, too, held for centuries within the walls of the palace. So he extends an invitation.
Every night, Azalea and her eleven sisters may step through the enchanted passage in their room to dance in his silver forest, but there is a cost. The Keeper likes to keep things. Azalea may not realize how tangled she is in his web until it is too late. "

With handsome prime ministers and kind captains, who can resist this book? And (spoiler) they jump through windows on horses! HOT!

Read it. It's fabulous.
Heather Dixon is a local author in SLC, UT. I'm a sucker for authors who live in similar cultures and surroundings as I do, who knows why, but most books I've read are local authors! Brandon Mull, Shannon Hale, Obert Skye, etc.

Similar to the Princess of the Midnight Ball series by Jessica Day George. My review here.
