Cinder and Thorne are now on the run after picking up Scarlet and Wolf. When Cress, a lunar shell, who's been trapped in a satellite for the past 7 years finds them, she hinds it from the queen, even though he's had direct orders to find them. She contacts the others and they come to rescue her, though Mistress Sybil decides to visit. After a bloody fight, Scarlet is captured by Sybil, Wolf is on the verge of dying, Thorne and Cress are trapped in the Sahara trying to find a way out, and Sybil's rebel pilot.

Everyone, but Scarlet, are re-united in a small African town. They devise a plan to rescue Kai before he's forced to marry Queen Levana. On his weeding day, with Wold still out of it and Scarlet gone, they hack into the security system, and after a fight with Sybil and her guards, they leave with the emperor in tow to find Scarlet and reveal Cinder as Princess Selene.

Meanwhile, Scarlet travels to Luna and is housed with a family who's little boy is starting to discover his powers. The Queen finds out that she was in cohorts with Cinder and tortures her for information, but doesn't get far before Levana's mysterious step-daughter, Winter, decides to keep her as a "pet", but there' more than the princess is letting on.

Uhh, I had no words. It was a bit different than the first two (found here), but still great! I think I mention this almost every book, but I LOVE books based of off old stories, and this is based off the great Rapunzel (my favorite story AND Disney princess)
